Our range of Custom Illuminated sabers is divided in two categories:

• Sabers created using MHS parts from The Custom Saber Shop USA
• Sabers we design and build ourselves.

On this basis we hope to provide a comprehensive service to create your perfect bespoke weapon.

MHS Custom Sabers
We keep an extensive stock of most MHS parts on our shelves to form the hilt style of your choice.  Added to this we can modify standard parts,  create new parts to integrate with the MHS,  or fabricate additional items such as:

• Emitters/Shrouds/Sleeves
• Chokes/Grips
• Switch plates and collars
• Additional sections
• Pommels
• Claws and side pipes.

Any or all parts can be finished with anodising,  media blasting or electro- plating.  As we have ‘off the shelf’  parts it is generally quicker to build an MHS based saber than a full custom designed hilt.

Full Custom Sabers
We have the facilities to take your ideas and plans and turn them into reality.
All we need is a rough concept,  some sketches or,  if you can provide them, detailed plans of what is required. We use the services of a professional engineer who will assess the materials,  construction methods and costs of the project for your approval.
The next stage is creating working drawings for the machining process,  this may involve specialist services to which we have access.
We like a challenge and aim to accomplish any difficult design but there are limitations and costs to consider so we balance our enthusiasm with practicality.

Custom Saber design
To build a saber for you we need to establish the specifications,  these choices have to be considered. The following sections cover the decisions required.

Function – display saber or full dueling saber?

Hilt Design – MHS or Full Custom. Get your ideas together and we can discuss the best
approach to achieving your design

Finish – Aluminum parts can be polished, media blasted or anodized to make a unique looking saber. Brass components can be machine finished , polished or electroplated.

Blade colour – We have wide range of high powered led for blade illumination,
Luxeon III, K2, V, Cree, Seoul, Ledengin and RGB. Some more exotic
die are available as a special item.

Sound board -  Please enquire directly for availability and options.

Switch style -  There are many styles of switches suitable for saber building,
Illuminated,  non illuminated,  Anti-vandal and custom made versions for a discreet look.

Grips – Machined grip,  leather, T vanes or O rings.

Battery pack – Battery packs should be matched to the available space in the hilt, the
power needed and accessibility.  Some designs are better as closed hilts
with rechargeable packs.  These can be custom made with Ni-mh or
Li-ion batteries.

Blade -  We have two options, light dueling and
display blades or thick walled heavy dueling blades.

Accent led – extra leds can be added as decoration in single or display form. Moving
displays and battery charge indicators can also be added to any design.

Additional features – Some designs are suitable for interior crystal displays or
Illuminated pommel crystals. We are happy to discuss any other
ideas.

Budget -  It is a good idea to have in mind a rough budget for your planned saber,  this helps us advise you on the best options available.
